Living in West Hollywood means you’ll never have to travel far to find a stellar cup of coffee. But if you’re looking for the best spots around your home at Domain WeHo Apartments, you’ll have to do some digging. Lucky for you, our coffee scene is pretty diverse and on-point. Sure, we have our fair share of corporate chains and Green Mermaids™ (if you know what we mean), but we also have plenty of quirky cool spots that even the pickiest of java fans will love. Trust us, we drink way too much of the stuff, so we know a thing or two about the best spots around town. Read on for our five top coffee houses near our New Apartments in West Hollywood!
Oh, Urth. How we adore you. This quintessential WeHo hotspot attracts a stylish crowd with its killer selection of Spanish-style lattes, fresh-pressed juices, giant salads, decadent desserts and organic pastries. Yes, it’s crowded and loud, and sometimes parking is a challenge. But after one sip of their amazing granita strong brew, you’ll agree that none of that stuff really matters. We’re big fans of the sunny courtyard, and even bigger fans of the flourless chocolate cake. But the best part? It’s only two miles away from Domain WeHo West Hollywood. Score!
It’s a totally chic scene at this hip coffee destination where knowledgeable baristas dish up insanely potent roasts, solid cold brews, and Yeezy Boy’s Bagels to a snazzy crowd. We like going there for the people-watching, and the swanky black-and-white decor reminds us a little of our own iconic Pop-Art style. While Alfred is one of the pricier coffee digs in town, we don’t mind because the quality is so obviously there. Obviously.
We’re so excited this NorCal-based coffee joint decided to open a brick-and-mortar in our corner of Los Angeles. There’s plenty to love about this cafe – from its outgoing staff to its cozy sitting area, and of course, its hipster-friendly vibe. The space is designed beautifully and you’d be hard-pressed to find a better cup of joe in all of L.A. Besides yummy drinks and lightning-fast WiFi, they also offer up finely-crafted home brew kits so introverts can get their caffeine fix in the quiet comfort of their Studio Apartments in West Hollywood (in case that’s more your scene).
As a self-proclaimed retail and community space in West Hollywood, The Assembly is a coffee shop with a conscience. Those who work here have dedicated themselves to quality, craft, sustainability and social responsibility because they believe how you consume coffee matters. We love how they go the extra mile to offer ethically purchased and responsibly produced products, and they only form partnerships with other local businesses that practice the same values. Pro-tip: next time you visit, ask for the Counter Culture Coffee.
Last, but certainly not least, is a magical place of heartwarming happiness and overwhelming cuteness (and purrs!). Let us explain – Crumbs & Whiskers is 50% cafe, 50% cat shelter, and 100% our favorite place to get coffee in all of Los Angeles. Not only do they serve up some seriously scrumptious brews, but it’s the perfect place to de-stress over cat cuddles and stock up on those warm-and-fuzzy feelings that come when you know you’re doing something good. Since opening their doors on Melrose Avenue, they’ve saved 402 cats from risk of euthanasia and adopted 369. Can we get an “AWWWW”?!
