Here at Domain WeHo, we love strong female perspectives, and in an exclusive interview with DesignBloom, Favre shares her background and inspiration behind these powerful illustrative designs. Malika worked as a designer for six years before setting up as an illustrator. She even dabbled in web design after graduating with a design degree. Always having favored drawing to typography, she began infusing the two in her approach to illustration. Her love of drawing stems from childhood, where she gravitated towards capturing the curves and organic shapes of the female body in her work. Throughout her career, she was taught to find beauty in the simplicity of her illustrations. That approach, married with her love of drawing and strong design background, eventually evolved into a manifesto of sorts that defines her iconic style.
